About & Editorial Standards

Who We Are

Clarity Act Crypto is run by an independent editorial team of crypto policy writers and researchers who track U.S. digital asset legislation, with a current focus on H.R. 3633, the Digital Asset Market CLARITY Act. We are not a law firm, a financial advisory practice, or a government office — we are a small publishing operation focused on turning dense legislative text and committee documents into plain-English explainers.

The site exists because bills like this one are hard to follow. Text changes between committee drafts, floor status shifts week to week, and most primary sources are written for lawyers and staff rather than the builders, investors, and compliance professionals who actually need to understand what the bill would do. Our goal is to sit between the primary sources and the reader: summarizing accurately, linking back to the original documents, and being upfront about what is still uncertain.

We do not take positions on whether the bill should pass, and we don't predict outcomes. Our section-by-section breakdown and timeline and updates page are the two pages we treat as living documents, revised whenever the bill's status changes.

Our Sourcing & Editorial Standards

Every factual claim on this site — bill numbers, vote counts, dates, section references, and regulatory details — is sourced from primary documents: the official bill text on congress.gov, committee section-by-section summaries, and official .gov agency pages from the SEC and CFTC. Where we reference reporting on unresolved political disputes or negotiations, we attribute it to clearly named, reputable outlets rather than presenting it as established fact.

Because H.R. 3633 is still pending and its status can change quickly, we update the site as new developments occur rather than treating any page as permanently finished. Our Official & .gov Resources page lists the primary sources we rely on most, and the timeline and updates page is our source-of-truth for current bill status. If you find something on this site that appears out of date, the fastest way to check is to compare it against the official record at congress.gov.
